Discover our engaging and educational activities for children of all ages. Our programs offer homework help, sports, arts and crafts, and more to keep your child active and learning in and out of school. With a variety of activities and projects, our youth programming promises to be a fun space for children to learn.
We offer a variety of programs to focus on children's needs, interests, and goals based on their age group. We want to ensure that these programs best serve the youths in our community and provide them with the knowledge they can take with them wherever they go!
A parent and child group for children ages 5 and younger. This group focuses on early literacy while providing milestone activities that encourage growth, development and creativity through play, support and outings. Activities include reading books, singing and dancing, vocabulary repetition, word art, and support group activities.
Our S.M.A.R.T.I.E.S program gives youths ages 6 through 12 the opportunity to explore different topics in a fun learning environment. We focus on expanding on what the youths are already learning in the classroom through exciting activities. Our programming has included lessons in cooking, chemistry, art, architecture, and more.
Formed through the dissertation of the FFC's founder, Dr. Evelyn Chenier, our Gang Resistance, Intervention, and Prevention (G.R.I.P.) Program is designed to promote violence prevention and youth development. This program provides wraparound support to youths ages 13-19 and their families by focusing on STEAM, intensive mentoring, dance, sports, art, outings, and mental health support.
With our mobile Freedom School, we can take our fun and educational programming to YOU. We have brought our programming to schools, community events, pop-up clinics—just about anywhere. There's no limit to where learning can take place, and we are happy to bring our programming wherever it's needed.

With our partnership with PADS Lake County, we've brought our youth programming and services to families living in PADS hotel shelter sites.
Ahead of our STEM Fair in collaboration with the Lions Math and Science Christian Academy, we brought a fun science experiment to the academy for the kids to enjoy.
