FFC was established in 2002 in response to repeated acts of violence and unrest in the community. One act of violence in particular caught the attention of then Congressman Mark Kirk. It was the murder of two young men who were killed execution style and left in the trunk of a car. Congressman Kirk was so impressed with the way Family First Center handled the aftermath of this heinous crime and brought the two families together, preventing retaliation, that he came to Dr. Evelyn Chenier to collaborate on a way to continue to stem violence in the community. 

In 2015 I rebirthed Family First Center non-profit corporation out of retirement started in 2000 and today 22 years later it has 9 full time staff, soon to be 25 total staff. In 2020 I started a new for-profit business Sienna Source that helped hundreds of for-profits thrive, grow, and begin during the pandemic with over $3.9 Million. These efforts also helped countless non-profits obtain and retain the funding they deserved with over $2.24M.
